About the role.
We are currently looking for a Kitchen all-rounder to support our Manchester Café space. Being part of the cafe team, the Kitchen all-rounder works alongside the team to ensure smooth service and maintain our high standards.
Our Manchester café has a menu that is fresh and simple, consisting of delicious sandwiches, classic breakfast and lunch dishes and a selection of sweets and cakes. We prepare most things on-site, in an open kitchen and using the best seasonal ingredients we can get our hands on.
Previous kitchen experience would be beneficial, as is attention to detail, high level of communication, a knack for multi-tasking and a willingness to get things done. Working in a café environment can be unpredictable, so being able to keep cool under pressure is a must.
In this role, you will:
Ensure consistent high standards of food preparation and presentation e.g. sandwich making, baking, fresh juice preparation.
Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Setup, pack down, pot-wash and cleaning of food areas.
Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are maintained in the space.
Support our Kitchen leader and Cafe General Manager with ad hoc duties.
About you.
Have experience previously in a kitchen or some experience in hospitality.
Exceptional organisational skills.
High levels of communication skills, both written and verbal.
Enthusiastic and a deep love for food, finger on the pulse of the Manchester food scene.
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
Infallible eye for detail.
This is a part-time role which means 2 shifts a week (around 16 hours per week). Shifts will usually be on Sunday and Monday.

Details:
Hours: 2 days per week around 16 hours per week.
Times: Our spaces open from 8am - 4pm Mon to Fri and 9am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Most shifts will be on Sundays and Mondays.
Probation period: 3 months
Reporting to: Manchester Cafe General Manager
Salary: £13 per hour
