About the role

This newly created role will oversee the development and implementation of the Allpress hospitality strategy across the Australian market. Overseeing new site openings, as well as our four spiritual homes, you will be accountable for planning and executing initiatives across our network that align to Allpress’ core hospitality principles and deliver on our brand growth ambitions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Contribute to the building and execution of Australian hospitality strategy, supporting AEA’s growth ambitions.

  • Lead the strategy for new Australian site locations from identification through to execution, as well as leading the refurbishment of existing sites to maintain standards.

  • Data lead insights that shape executional or operational strategies that improve our offering whilst maximising commercial outcomes

  • Support the development of global hospitality projects / initiatives across the Australian market.

  • Develop relationships in industry to stay informed of channel / category best practices ensuring Allpress Hospitality spaces stay relevant, continuously improve through innovation

People

  • Lead, support and develop our people including managing, training and recruiting the hospitality team and ensuring we maintain the highest level of safety standards.

  • Support café managers and broader hospitality team via regular coaching and feedback, building capability and knowhow that can deliver the strategy and hospitality experience.

  • Ensure sufficient resources and information are made available to maintain a safe and inclusive workplace, ensuring the wellbeing of our people.

Operations

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of our customers through consistent execution of the Allpress hospitality experience as measured by sales performance and customer satisfaction

  • Foster a continuous improvement approach for an efficient and effective operation by delivering initiatives that address inventory management, payment systems, procurement, COGS control, workflow and resource planning.

  • Delivery of financial targets, improving forecast accuracy and understanding performance drivers.

  • Ensure existing and any new legislative guidelines are adhered to specifically but not limited to food standards, safety and ER – including the oversite of all licenses, certifications and training.

  • Ensure quality controls, training and SOPs are implemented to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience.

Brand

  • Support café managers in developing and executing local activation and marketing plans to drive awareness and connections with their communities.

  • Ensure all Allpress spiritual homes and partner cafes are leading representations of the global hospitality guidelines,

  • Ensure all consumer touch points support our brand guidelines and create meaningful connections with our customers.

About you

Well versed in project management, you’ll be customer centric to the core. Driven, proactive and resilient as only a true hospitality professional can be, you’ll think creatively about forging connections across the business and execute initiatives that reach our customers, exemplifying the Allpress values and vision.

To nail this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years in the hospitality industry as an operations manager or multi-site management level.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives in a hospitality setting.

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage large scale P&Ls

  • Project management experience either leading or facilitating new site openings

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, building trusted relationships and demonstrating empathy.

  • Strong Leadership skills – experience managing medium to large teams

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and juggling priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of specialty coffee / cafés/ hospitality industry

  • Proven track record of delivering SOPs that improve business and customer value
