After a whirlwind year with many ups and downs, Triggers shows my journey through the intricate tapestry of emotions that connect us all.
From the tranquillity of the countryside to the hustle and bustle of the urban landscape, this exhibition traverses diverse terrains, exploring the rich spectrum of triggers that shape our perceptions and have shaped mine. This exhibition is my way of offering a unique and interactive look into my thoughts, triggers and emotions.
It is my hope that you will challenge preconceptions and broaden your understanding of the profound impact stimuli can have on our minds and hearts. Triggers invites you to participate in a collective exploration, transcending boundaries and fostering a deeper connection to the emotions that make us uniquely human.
Through a carefully crafted soundscape by the acclaimed Sam Mehrtens, also known as Sam Wave, the exhibition goes beyond the visual realm, enveloping visitors in a bespoke auditory experience.
Join me on this visual and musical journey where every trigger tells a story, and every story adds a layer to the intricate mosaic of our shared emotional landscape.

Artist Bio
Raised in Wellington NZ, Jacqui now resides rurally in Port Levy NZ where she creates works that revolve around figurative subjects, often taking inspiration from life’s challenges, the emotional journeys we go through, and her surroundings.
She has attended workshops across the world, as well as spending time gaining inspiration and painting in places like Switzerland, the Australian outback, Papua New Guinea, China, India, and Samoa.
While the human figure remains her central focus, her passion lies in exploring shape, form, and composition. Through the layering of paint, her artwork comes alive with a myriad of vibrancy and movement, achieved through different colour combinations, textures, and art mediums.
Recently her work has expanded into sculpture, creating with steel and mixed media, resulting in some spectacular and innovative pieces that captivate viewers.
