As more and more under-utilised parts of London get a spruce up, it’s been amazing to watch new partners opening up specialty coffee spots outside our little bubble in East London.
After a decent stretch in finance in New York, Nicola from Little Hudson is one of those new friends were proud to support in the newly developed Royal Docks. The new life being breathed into the area has opened up a new demand for proper coffee and home-made food, both of which Nicola already luckily had a passion for.
Little Hudson makes a point of championing sustainability and provenance, ensuring all their packaging is fully compostable, partnering with local initiatives to prevent food waste, and offering placements through social enterprises to bring previously unemployed individuals into the coffee industry. As if all the above weren’t a feat in itself, she also welcomed another wee member to the Little Hudson family while getting the business up and running – superwoman – we know. This new addition also made her more wary of providing a family space where the community could bring little ones and dogs along any day of the week – as well as a sweet perch for those looking to work remotely.
