Along the Great North Road from London to Scotland and on route out to the Chilterns you will find this cosy café, ‘The Hub’. In an 1800’s building on the high street, this is the perfect refuel spot for cyclists and walkers alike.

Simon and Lindy grabbed what they could from their own home to make the space as warm and comforting as possible, and stacks of books and memorabilia pay homage to Simon’s deep passion for all things cycling.

If you find yourself in Redbourne with a puncture, never fear. Drop your bike into their repair shop, The Bike Loft, down the road and head to The Hub for a coffee and a bite.

The menu is small and simple with homemade cakes to die for. They also have a few options for a light lunch, whether it be soup or a mouth-watering cheese toastie.

Most of their ingredients are sourced in Redbourn. They use bread from Redbournbury Mill and veggies grown and delivered by Graham, who makes a delicious courgette cake.
